I'm an 18-year old sophomore who studies news-editorial journalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My biggest aspiration in life is to become a successful basketball writer. There's also no doubt that I'm Kirk Hinrich's biggest fan, so obviously my second biggest aspiration is to meet my all-time favorite basketball player..

I was born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs with my two siblings: an older brother and a younger, identical twin sister. My older brother was the one who influenced me most into developing a basketball fanaticism and becoming such a huge Hinrich fan. I also like to think my being Filipino contributes to my love for basketball.

Aside from basketball and writing, though, I'm just a girl that enjoys sports, photography, graphic design, sneakers, cool crew socks, bacon cheeseburgers, and baking desserts. And I hope to one day be able to inspire more girls to be more involved in not just sports journalism but sports media as a whole.
